About pwnGamer.com

When I first started playing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, I scoured the internet for resources to help me become a better player. I was a new gamer back then, having never really played multiplayer games that much before. Much to my disappointment though, I didn't find a whole lot of resources on the web for it. Yeah, there were a few websites here and there with tips and strategies but they weren't very good. They gave you basic information that you would have found out if you played the game for like ten minutes. Well, gee, thanks.

Without much help, I ventured out and played ET and became better the hard way--by getting pwn'd a lot. I truly sucked when I first started. I didn't know anything about first person shooters. I was always at the bottom of the rankings when it came to frag count. But getting pwn'd taught me a lot. I learned so much from competing with other players. I would spectate the better ones and watch how they play. I would try to imitate their style and learn how they got so good.

Slowly, my skills improved. My frag count became higher. And as I got better, I would take notes and observe why I became better. I became a student of the game. I would always do drills before a match and I would watch replays of myself after the game to see what I did well and what I could have done better.

Needless to say, after a year, I got really good. Nowadays, when I fire up ET, I'm the one doing the pwn'ing. In almost every game I play, I'm almost always the highest fragger. I don't claim to be the best player in the world, but I'm good enough to hold my own.

I started this website with the goal of helping other gamers. I want this website to help speed up the learning curve for others so they don't have to struggle as I did to get good. Games are no fun if you're not competitive. But the nice thing about computer games is that you don't need to be a genetic wonder to be good at it. Anyone can be a great gamer. My mission is to make every pwnGamer an awesome player.

On this website, you will find many resources written by me related to ET. That's the game I'm most skilled at. If you read everything I wrote and practice hard and play hard, I guarantee you will become a most feared ET and FPS player.

If you guys find this website useful, please contribute to the website by writing some tips and strategies. I know in the past, gamers like to keep their skills secret. But here at pwnGamer, we're all about gamers helping other gamers. If everyone got really good, then the game will be more fun because the competition will be better. Just look at the Open Source software movement, everyone wins. Which by the way, this whole website was made using open source software!

You don't have to be an expert in ET to contribute. Any game is fine. Counter-Strike, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, whatever. It doesn't matter. Contribute whatever you can.

If you have any questions or comments, post them on the forums. I'll be sure to reply.

Happy fraggin',

Greedy
